Case Study: Suzie Sawyer’s Twisted Golf Tips
Suzie Sawyer’s Twisted Golf Classic is a lighthearted fundraising tournament that had fallen into low attendance. Knowing that, I was charged with using Suzie’s unique personality to deliver a video that would increase conversation and subsequently attendance for the tournament. This video release spiked sign-ups for the attendance and the subsequent charitable donations that followed.
Case Study: Living After Tragic Loss – Patricia Carruth
I approached this video from a documentary angle in order to show just how far Patricia Carruth has come in the years since her son’s murder. This video was aimed to be played in 2 different places. First, it took on the role of a pre-speaking video to get people acquainted with Pat before she speaks at events. Secondarily, it inspired family members who are currently going through the grieving process of a tragic loss. I served as producer, 1st camera, and editor throughout the creation of this video.
Case Study: Communicating Research & Products to Scientists
My work with New England Biolabs focused on taking the complex ideas of cutting-edge research and making visuals that clarified the process. A secondary goal of this project was to try to make this type of science more approachable to non-career scientists. We achieved these goals by using precise visuals and clarifying motion graphics whenever possible. In addition, these visuals needed to have an understated institutional feel to match the company.
Case Study: Advanced Orthomolecular Research
AOR requested around 70 informational product videos to provide to retailers in order to educate the teams selling their products. There were two main challenges with this project: how to highlight massive amounts of information for easy recall and keeping videos fresh and exciting while staying within brand guidelines. I approached the information by adapting motion graphics and adding visual text differences whenever possible. For the brand guidelines, I developed a complimentary color pallete and video overlays to spice up the imagery, while maintaining brand consistency.
Case Study: The Church at Osage Hills
The Church at Osage Hills requested this video to show both the fun and volunteer work during their Winter Weekend to the congregation during service. I went with the group, using my GoPro and Canon 80D to film moments with the kids. Afterward, the client requested to use this music as it was played for the kids during the weekend.
